Sree Narayana Guru Memorial Polytechnic is situated at the eastern end of the campus near the Vembanad back waters. It has the look and feel of a serene holyday resort. In consultation with top notch professionals in the hospitality and tourism industries, facilities are provided to keep this in the very front line among institutions of its kind. The first batch which will be passing out in July 2007 is already attracting recruiters from the country and abroad.

SNGM Polytechnic is established by the Sree Narayana Guru Memorial Educational and Cultural Trust, Reg.No. A709/01 at Valamangalam of Thuravoor, Cherthala, Alappuzha with a vision of giving a new dimension to the hospitality education, which no one has ever experienced. The Management is determined in maintaining an excellent academic ambience, discipline and environment in the campus ideal for an educational institution of excellence.

Courses Offered
Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (DHMCT).
The diploma course offered by the Polytechnic is AICTE approved. AICTE approved diplomas have an edge over other diplomas offered in the country. The industry and job market has a marked preference for AICTE diplomas over the others.

Proposed Courses The New proposed diploma courses to be started from the coming academic year are;

Diploma in Automobile
Diploma in Electronic Engineering
Diploma in Civil Engineering

The setting up of the infrastructural and instructional facilities for the above mentioned proposed courses is in progress.

Transportation

Daily trips of college buses are available for the students and facul ties from Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Kottayam covering all the nearby towns

Hostel Facility

Accommodation is provided for both girls and boys separately in the college campus itself. Hostel fees: Rs 30,000/- per academic year for food and accommodation, payable in advance. This is for the academic year 2011-12 and is subject to revision every year.
